It’s Showtime Cast Pour Their Condolences For Rico J. Puno

A lot of people were left heartbroken and in shock when the news about Rico J. Puno succumbing to his heart failure broke out last October 30.

The singer comedian was only 65 years old when he took his final bow. Reports had said that the singer was in St. Luke’s medical city and was actually on his way to the intensive care unit when the sad news had happened. Ultimately, it was announced by his sister in law Anna Puno over an Instagram post that had also expressed how his songs would never be forgotten.

Several people poured in their condolences for the family he left behind. Singers, celebrities and the Palace even paid a tribute to the singer claiming that the OPM King was a “personal friend” with whom they had a duet with sometime 4 years ago.

Some of the other people who talked about this incident and paid tribute to him are the It’s Showtime Cast and also it’s former members.

Vice Ganda quickly took to twitter in order to write the following: “Before this day ends i wanna say THANK YOU to Rico J. Puno. Lagi naming sinasabi na favorite namin ang isat isa. Napakabait nya sakin at mahal na mahal nya ko. At ganun din ako sa kanya. Mamimiss kita. I-Hi moko sa tatay, lola at lolo ko ha. Love U Koriks!!!”

Anne Curtis also shared her love and appreciation for the OPM singer over twitter, stating that “Saddened to hear about the news of the passing of one of our dear TNT Hurados Mr. Rico J. Puno. Rest in peace Tito. You will be missed.”

Other stars who commented on the matter was Billy Crawford. He used to be a host for the show before marring Coleen Garcia. He said that the last time he had seen the singer was when they sang a duet in It’s Showtime. He also mentioned that he will truly miss Rico J. Puno.

Other notable people who shared their condolences came from the music industry and come from different generations. This includes Miss Lea Salonga, Zsa Zea Padilla, Erik Santos, Jessa Zaragoza and many more. It only goes on to show how much the singer has contributed for the society be how much he has influenced various people in and out the industry. His most notable work and songs are “May Bukas Pa,” “Kapalaran” “Macho Guwapito” and many more.
